Misplaced is the enchanting story of an Egyptian princess and an immigration lawyer, Misplaced it features time travel, magic, and an insight into multiple religions. The author, SL Hulen, managed to completely entrance me with her vivid descriptions, characters with incredible depth, and a premise that is quite different from other time travel novels/5.

Gregory Maguire's Wicked is my all-time favorite book, so I'll buy just about any novel he puts out. My enjoyment of Lost fell somewhere between Wicked (which I adored and just recently finished re-reading) and Confessions of an Ugly Step-Sister (which I liked but was a bit disappointed with)/5().

She is reminded why she left in the first place. The unfriendly atmosphere of her. The Misplaced Mob reminded me of Robert B. Parker's Paradise Series featuring Sheriff Jesse Stone. The dialogue was especially reminiscent, although not so much as to be derivative.

The author did overuse the phrase "That's good police work" a bit, but not enough to keep me from buying the other two books in the Roy Martin series/5. I learned about Misplaced Persons, also published as Displaced Person, by Australian author Lee Harding () from a wonderful list by the always-eldritch Mike Davis from The Lovecraft eZine in his fantastic post of “Lovecraftian Novels I Recommend.” His recommendation was so compelling that I started looking for the novel, and the majority of the reviews I found said similar things: the /5(16).
